We treat pets like family

We treat pets like family, ensuring every dog enjoys personalised walks filled with care, attention, and fun, just as if they were our own.

About Me

My name is Lisa, I’m the founder and owner of Walkies dog walking. I like many adore animals!!

My love and passion for animals is what inspired me to start this venture, along with a push from my husband and 3 children.

I’ve never known life without an animal companion.
As a child and growing up over the years we had several cats, rabbits and budgies, German shepherds, a Labrador, spaniels and terriers.
Through adulthood I have had the pleasure of being blessed with four dogs, two cats, an African grey parrot, a rabbit and guinea pigs (not all at the same time I might add!!)

I believe every animal is unique and like us each have their own personalities, it’s important to understand each individual and learn their quirks and unique ways to truely give them the best life they deserve.

Every animal I encounter I treat with love care and respect and will treat your furry family member as though they are my own.

To ensure your beloved pet is safe and in the best care I am trained in canine first aid and have completed a CPD certificate in dog walking and pet sitting. I am also fully insured with a DBS certificate.

Why it’s so important for your canine companion to get their daily walk?

Physical health

Walking can help your dog maintain a healthy weight, which can reduce the risk of obesity-related health issues like heart disease, diabetes, and joint problems. Walking can also help your dog’s muscles and bones get stronger, and improve their cardiovascular fitness.

Mental stimulation

Walking provides mental stimulation for dogs, such as sniffing out new smells, exploring new paths, and seeing other people and their pets.

Stress relief

Exercise can help relieve stress and anxiety in dogs, and can also reduce negative behaviors like chewing.

Sleep

Walking can help dogs sleep better at night.

Energy release

Walking can help dogs release pent-up energy. If dogs don’t get enough exercise, they may become restless and frustrated.

Dog walking

With busy working lifestyles it can sometimes be difficult to fit a walk into your busy schedule. Why not let Walkies dog walking alleviate that worry for you.

Our adventures will be at varied locations with your dog’s needs and safety in mind. Walking in new places can provide mental stimulation by exposing your dog to new scents and different terrains.

We provide collection and drop off in our walkies wagon which is fully fitted with DT boxes, these are safety and crash tested individual crates with fans attached to ensure cool dogs and safe travelling.
We also carry fresh water on board along with a first aid kit and towels.

Pop in pet visits

Pop in pet visits allow for your pet to be checked on while you’re away from home. This time will be used to refresh food/water and let your pet out for toilet breaks and give some love and cuddles! This service is suitable for cats, adult dogs and puppy’s and can be tailored to your pets needs.
Pet pop-in visits can be useful for those of you with work commitments, or if your pet struggles with separation anxiety, or if you’re out for the day and simply need some one to check in on your fur baby(s).
